• Longtime district employee and WPHS alumni Del Garrick gave his two weeks notice; he’s moving on from the district at the end of February.
• The podcast Have You Heard released their latest episode, focusing on recent events in our school district. The host of this podcast, Jennifer Berkshire and Jack Schneider, wrote the book “A Wolf at the Schoolhouse Door – The Dismantling of Public Education and the Future of School“
• Colorado Newsline released a story about us, Conservative program meets inclusive standards in this Colorado school district.
• The board’s decision to adopt the American Birthright standard has called into question the NCAA eligibility of many high school classes for next school year. The district released a statement clarifying the status and timeline for resolution.

Here’s what’s coming up this week:

• The next scheduled board meeting is Wednesday, March 8th. However, they’ve been on a pretty regular two-week interval for much of the past year, so be on the lookout for them to possibly add a meeting for this Wednesday at 6:00.
